Today on arrival at Leh airport – 3500 m above sea level. Our representative will assist you and Transfer to hotel, after fresh up yourself and proceed for Half Day sightseeing tour Visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace, Later in the evening walk around local market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Since you are reaching an altitude of 4000 mtrs approximately from 200 mtrs in just one hour’s time, you may be excited and would want to explore everything on your very first day. However, it is your body which needs to get acclimatized to such height and climate. We sincerely suggest that you rest on the first day for body acclimatization.
After breakfast drive to visit 1000 year old Alchi monastery the only Gompa in Ladakh region on flat ground. Thereafter proceed to the Likir Monastery to visit the splendid three storey Dharma Wheel Gompa. Here you'll be awestruck with the sight of the massive Buddha statues., Indus & Zanskar river Sangam, drive along the Indus river visiting, Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill (where the cars defy gravity), Basgo Palace Hiking only and further on to Leh Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War memorabilia) After sightseeing return back to hotel overnight stay.
Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and Drive to Nubra Valley (120 Kms 4/5hrs) via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) Arrive at Hundur by Afternoon. Rest of the day, Post lunch free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight stay at the camp at Nubra.
Morning after Breakfast proceed for Diskit Monastery. Post the Diskit Monastery - Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley. proceed for backward journey to Leh, once again driving via Khardungla pass the World Highest Motorable road. Evening explore Leh bazaar for souvenir and some shopping on your own. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Full day trip, after early morning breakfast we leave for Pangong through Changla pass (17,586 ft) world third highest motorable road in the world. After 2 hrs of drive you reach to Changla pass, stop for a short period for photography. Drive ascending towards Pangong reach Tangtse where you can relax for a cup of tea/ coffee. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 13,930 feet. Pangong Lake: The picturesque lake is one of the major draws of the Leh-Ladakh valley. A location of several film shootings and known for its pristine waters surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, Pangong Lake is a prime tourist attraction. The long and narrow lake lies in the neighborhood of the famous Chushul Mountains. The mirror-calm water is cold, clear and extremely salty. The lake is a breeding ground for a variety of birds. This famous high altitude Lake of Pangong is 5- 8Kms wide and over 140 Kms long with 30% in India and 70% in China. This large, serene lake forms a brilliant color variation including deep blue, dark green, turquoise etc. Overnight at camp/hotel.
Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of Pangong Lake and later we drive back to Leh, while enroute visiting Hemis monastery, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyut in order of Tibetan Buddhism. Drive further to Leh and check in at our hotel for Overnight stay. In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping and Leh bazar visit.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & bid farewell this marvelous town. Our transporter will drop you at the Leh Airport for your onwards journey. Tour will end from our side.
